Cascade Attachments - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They began as a small machine shop in the beginning employing 4 individuals. Product sales for their initial year of operation amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless-steel valves, pipe fittings and different parts. During five years of operation, the business had expanded to forty staff and their annual sales volume had increased to 330 thousand dollars. At present, Cascade is among the leading worldwide producers within the material handling business.
Manufacture and design of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of better business possibilities. During the last 60 years, the material handling trade has matured into a highly complex area and Cascade has proudly played a part in this improvement. Cascade at the moment continues to grow as the leader supplier of forklift accessories and different associated items. In the nineteen fifties, Cascade started designing, fabricating and selling hydraulic accessories. Construction was finished in 1956 on a new facility so as to house all office and plant operations in Portland, Oregon at the company's present headquarters. Subsequent to fifteen years of business, total workers reached 180 staff and sales had reached almost 2.3 million dollars.
The next manufacturing plant was built in the year 1959 in Springfield, Ohio. The year 1960 marked Cascade's preliminary move into the global world of the material handling industry when the business established interest in England, Australia, and the Netherlands.
The business altered its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of two hundred thousand shares of common stock. The business has expanded its manufacturing plants throughout the United States with places in Portland, Oregon, Springfield, Ohio, and Warner Robins, Georgia. Cascade products are fabricated worldwide due to lots of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is made to be the essential customer support centre.
Continuing to grow, Cascade expanded their product offering further in 1996 and the year 1997 with the dramatic acquisition of five corporations, along with the international best in blades, the Kenhar Corporation.
